What about Hawaii...
...that's so special? Why did everyone in our company wink to me, occasionaly call me "lucky bastard" or just dreamigly sigh, knowing I'm going to Maui in a couple of weeks? I guess I had to get there to really learn.
Know what? There isn't much. It's been good, but not because of the natural wonders. Here's why it's been good:
Know what? There isn't much. It's been good, but not because of the natural wonders. Here's why it's been good:
- we got a nice condo on top floor in Kamaole Sands, it's been fortunate we did not have to pay full price (got upgraded from some other place that happenned to be overbooked);All the rest we have anyway, as we live in Bay Area. Our weather is as good or better. The diversity of landscapes to see and climate zones to experience is much broader. Generally speaking, California is the best place in the world to live. I'm glad I'm back.
- I decided to pay extra for upgrade from mid-size to convertible Sebring, that was worth it (and still, why do some American cars have a feel like they're made out of wood? I've been missing my XG350 a bit);
- since we were confined to this island, we've nothing else to do but rest;
- ocean is warm and clean... yeah, that must be it! The ocean.
